A Touch of Artistic Sensibility with Rice Paddy Views: Kkumkkuneun Gongjakso
The owner, a painter, personally renovated an old hanok and opened it as a stay. Beneath the exposed rafter ceiling, the living room’s large windows open onto a peaceful view of rice paddies, and every detail—from the hand-laid tiles in the kitchen and bathroom to the furniture and decorations tucked into every corner of the rooms—shows a keen sense of style. The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with a backyard perfect for barbecues. At the entrance to the village, the owner also runs a woodworking design studio of the same name, where guests can arrange a separate woodworking experience.

A Book Stay Tailored to Your Reading Taste: Stay on Page
In 2022, a private stay consisting of four separate buildings opened behind Oh My Book. The owning couple of Oh My Book closed the bookstore they had run in Daegu due to COVID-19, bought the surrounding land, and built this book stay. Each building is themed around one of four colors: pink (poetry collections), light pink (trends & branding), gray (art), and blue (healing essays & fiction). Upon entering a room, the floor-to-ceiling windows facing the front and the bookshelves packed with themed books immediately catch the eye. In addition to breakfast and dinner service, guests can add programs such as a book prescription from the Oh My Book owner or a late-night reading session at Oh My Agit.

A Night of Fire-Gazing in a Hanok: Jeokseonjiga
A serene private hanok stay brand made from renovated old houses, with three locations in Cheongdo alone. Each retains the unique charm and romance of a hanok while adding comfort and convenience. The Deokyang branch features a main house, an annex, and a pool; the Seonggok branch charms with two bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a romantic outdoor jacuzzi; and the Sari branch offers a tea room, a jacuzzi, a barbecue area, and even a fire-gazing zone. Capacity and facilities vary slightly by location, so choose according to your group size and travel concept. Pets are welcome at all locations.

The center also has a lounge area where you can relax while browsing videos or booklets about Cheongdo. It also sells a variety of goods themed around Cheongdo’s mascot Bau and its famous Cheongdo bansi (flat persimmon).
