Solaire Resort Entertainment City — Redefining Hospitality in Manila
Solaire Resort Entertainment City is the Philippines' first luxury integrated resort. It opened in March 2013 as the first landmark of Entertainment City, a district built along Manila Bay about 10 kilometers south of downtown Manila. Spanning 8.3 hectares, the resort is anchored by two hotel towers—Bay Tower and Sky Tower—and brings together a wide range of facilities for shopping, entertainment, dining, and conventions all in one place. In 2026, its Sky Tower received the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for ten consecutive years, a testament to its world-class service and outstanding facilities.

The resort offers a total of 793 luxurious rooms, ranging from deluxe rooms and suites to villas. Every room combines spacious layouts with sophisticated interiors, featuring large LED TVs, dedicated workspaces, and coffee and tea makers. Bathrooms are equipped with rain showers, bathtubs, and premium amenities for a relaxing stay. The suites in Sky Tower, in particular, offer an even more luxurious atmosphere along with stunning sunset views over Manila Bay. The resort's top-tier accommodations, the villas in Bay Tower, provide exceptionally spacious layouts and complete privacy.
Dining
The resort operates 17 restaurants and bars, offering a diverse range of culinary experiences. Highlights include Red Lantern, serving authentic Chinese cuisine; Yakumi, where dishes made with premium ingredients sourced from Tokyo are paired with sake recommended by an in-house sake sommelier; and Finestra, led by chef Andrea Spagoni, formerly of a Michelin-starred restaurant—each offering a taste of world cuisine. Additional options include Waterside, the Korean restaurant Kiwa, the buffet restaurant Fresh, and the noodle specialty restaurant Lucky Noodles, among many others.
Entertainment
At the heart of the resort's entertainment offerings is The Theatre, a 1,740-seat venue equipped with state-of-the-art acoustics. Other facilities that add to the fun include Sky Range, an indoor shooting range; Solaire Sports Club, which opened in August 2025; an outdoor pool overlooking the bay; and a shopping arcade home to global brands and lifestyle stores.
Meetings & Events
The resort also offers ample banquet and event space, catering to everything from large-scale international events to small business meetings. The Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 2,200 guests, provides state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment optimized for weddings, conventions, seminars, and corporate events, while The Space at Solaire, which opened in 2025, is suited for banquets, cocktail parties, and even large-scale exhibitions.
Art Collection
One of the resort's hidden charms is its vast art collection. From the earliest stages of design, the team reportedly planned out which walls would feature artwork and at what scale in order to create a truly artistic experience. Ceiling heights, wall finishes, and even dedicated lighting were all considered based on where key pieces would be placed. To achieve this, more than 3,000 works of art were curated, resulting in a resort that feels like a museum in its own right. The collection spans everything from works by the Philippines' most celebrated artists to paintings, sculptures, and installations by emerging talents shaping the country's contemporary art scene. Many of the pieces reinterpret the nation's history, culture, and nature through a modern lens, offering guests a fresh perspective on the Philippines. Among the works by Filipino masters such as Fernando Amorsolo and BenCab (Benedicto Cabrera) are pieces from the resort chairman's personal collection. Large-scale paintings and striking installation sculptures capture attention throughout the resort's lobby, common areas, restaurants, bars, and entertainment facilities. Artworks are also thoughtfully placed along the hallways of each floor in both Bay Tower and Sky Tower, allowing guests to appreciate them as if strolling through a gallery. Notably, all the artworks displayed inside the guest rooms are original pieces, making each room feel like a private exhibition space of its own. Art lovers should pick up a copy of ‘Solaire: The Art & Design Collection,’ a book published by the resort that showcases works by 53 leading Filipino artists in its collection. It also offers insight into how each piece was intended to interact with visitors within Solaire's spaces.
